Amy at Park City Girl is having a virtual quilt show. I thought I might join in this time. Make sure you hop on over and look at all the beautiful quilts being shown. This is a quilt I made for my son's 20th birthday. It is in his school colors and there are not any girly black and white fabrics(a very real challenge). This quilt was quilted by Russ and Rhonda at Back Porch Quilts. This was a momentous time for me as I now do not have a teenager anymore. He wasn't sure whether he liked it or not til he took it to school and all the girls ooh and aah over his quilt. I have since gotten several thanks, mom for the quilt and I love its.

It's definitely a challenge trying to make a "manly" quilt that is not in browns. Very nice.

I agree, it is hard to find manly black and white prints--I found the same thing when I was making my 23 y.o. son a quilt this year. Wonderful quilt and I'm sure he will treasure it always.

Very nice. I made my hubby a black and white with a little red quilt and there are no girly fabrics either. That's hard to find.

Nicely done. I know it is difficult to not get "girlie" fabrics when making a man's quilt. You did a great job.

I love your quilt. The clack, white and red work together so well.

I love it! I feel 'manly' quilts in general are hard--I end up defaulting to plaids, usually!

I love the quilt---I also made a black and white one awhile back with a little red in it--really liked how it did come out--sometimes it's fun to do something totally different???
I am new to your site--I have also signed up for the ornament swap and want to get to know everybody--keep knitting----OH and I just love that little wedding sock--cute, cute, cute--I do knit--at times????
Hugs, Di
