Slow progress

I don't know why, but sock number 2 is harder to knit than number 1. How weird is that.
I have also been doing my homework for camp and the other 6 or 7 projects on the needles.
Hopefully I will finish the sock this week.

Sock before frogging

One Down One to Go

I finished my first STR club sock. I really like the way it turned out. After frogging back to the instep and making it shorter, I decided to use smaller needles on the leg as it was not snug the first time. I used 1's for the toe, heel and first 9 rounds of the leg, size 0's for the instep, size 1.5 for the leg rounds 10 -41 and size 2 for the last 15 rounds. I used EZ cast off. The second one should be a breeze now.

STR Club socks

I have knitted thru the third cable and have decided the socks are too long and will be frogging back to the instep and shortening. Hope it doesn't take too long to redo. I am not a fan of redoing. It will probably take me a while to get them done now. Also, when I tried them on, I had no problem getting my foot in them and the leg portion is saggy. I knitted the leg on size 2 so I think I will redo them on size 1.5. I had gauge on the size 1. Toe and heel are 1, instep size 0, and leg (now) size 1.5.

The pretty skein as it came out of the box.
I really like the colors.
Wound into a nice little ball of fun.
Lots of first here.
First toe up sock
First STR sock
First sock for me

I really like the way the colors are coming out.
Not too much pooling on mine.

I'm really anxious to finish, but the size 0's are hard on my hands.

Socks that Rock Club

I received my kit on Monday. The yarn is a gorgeous color and the pattern will be a new experience for me. I have never done a toe up and I have never gotten to keep any of the socks I have knitted. Woohoo, I think I'm in heaven. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how.
