As you can see the box I received was filled to the top.
There were so many things in the package. Candy, not much left now. Two great coffee mugs and some tea. Stickers and some chocolate covered espresso beans. Yarn 3 skeins of sari silk and some wildflower cotton yarn. I can't wait to use these. I had a great pal. Thank you Carrie.Sorry it took a week to post. My camera was acting up.

Fall into Autumn topic #6
Now that it is getting cooler here, it makes me think of apple picking and hay rides. Are you the type that likes to go to participate in all the fall festivities like apple picking, pumpkins, decorating for the fall, hay rides, baking fall goodies, etc. or do you just sit and count the days till Thanksgiving/Christmas/Hanukkah?
I love to go to the Fall Bazaars. They have good food and you can usually find some unique gifts for Christmas.

Fall into Autumn topic #4
How about you? Are there any recipes you especially enjoy having in the Fall? Any foods that are seasonal that you especially enjoy? I love pumpkin pie but I do not make from scratch. I like a big bowl of homemade vegetable beef soup.
My Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup Serves a jillion
1 lb. beef (I buy sirloin and cut into small cubes)
1 large can tomatoes (28 oz?)
1 large potato diced
2 carrots sliced
1 medium onion chopped
2 stalks celery diced
1 head cabbage chopped
1 can green peas
1 can green beans
1 can corn
In large stock pot (mine is about 15 inches high) add a little oil and heat. Add the beef and brown. Add the tomatoes, breaking them up and 2 cups of water. Simmer for an hour. Prepare all the fresh veggies in this time. Add to pot and cover with water and let simmer for 3-4 hours.
Add the different cans of veggies and season to taste. Cook for about 30 more minutes. This makes an enormous pot of soup, but freezes well.
